The VALIDATE Network is inviting applications for round 6 of our Pump Priming Grants, aimed at accelerating vaccine research for three neglected intracellular pathogens: Mycobacteria (responsible for tuberculosis and leprosy), Leishmania (leishmaniasis), and Burkholderia pseudomallei (melioidosis). These diseases disproportionately affect low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs), causing significant health challenges globally.
Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects lasting a maximum of 12 months. Eligible proposals must advance vaccine development in one or more of these pathogen areas, producing valuable data or pilot results that could lead to further funding. Applicants must be VALIDATE members, with collaborations across at least two institutions.
Applications must be submitted by 4pm GMT on 16 December 2024. Full details on the grant and how to apply are available on the VALIDATE website.
