VALIDATE Training Grants Round 13 is now open

The next VALIDATE training grant round is now open - deadline 20 June 2022

Training Grants

VALIDATE offers training grants of up to £3500 to help our post-doc researchers take advantage of training opportunities that will contribute to their continuing professional development. This can include (but is not limited to): attendance at courses or workshops, laboratory exchanges, and work shadowing. Attendance at an international conference to present a talk or poster is also eligible for LMIC members.

The proposed training opportunity must fall within the VALIDATE remit. Please note that for this call only research focused on tuberculosis vaccine development is eligible. Any aspect of research that will accelerate development of an efficacious TB vaccine is eligible, including biological, physical and social sciences, and humanities.

Applicants must be an Associate member of VALIDATE (and/or a post-doctoral scientist working on research directly related to TB vaccine development nominated by a CTVD member). We particularly welcome applications from researchers based in LMICs. Please visit our website for further details on this call.

We will have a number of training grant call opportunities in 2022-2023 (see our website for details).

We realise that these calls being only for TB research will be disappointing to our non-TB focused members. The VALIDATE Management Team highly value the cross-pathogen USP of VALIDATE and we are continuing to pursue all avenues for further funding that can focus on our other three pathogen researchers as well.
