Join Dr Alison Kraigsley, Preclinical TB Vaccines Program Officer at the Gates Foundation, for an overview of funding opportunities and priorities relevant to vaccine researchers. Alison will share updates on the Foundation’s current priorities and funding processes. She will offer insight into its approach to supporting global health research and help members better understand how to identify and navigate future funding opportunities.
The seminar will be valuable for TB researchers at all career levels interested in the Gates Foundation’s role in advancing vaccine development and how their work might align with its funding priorities.
About the Speaker
Dr Alison Kraigsley is the Preclinical TB Vaccines Program Officer at the Gates Foundation, overseeing research investments to advance TB vaccine development. With a background in infectious disease research and policy, she previously worked on influenza vaccine projects at the University of Minnesota. Alison has also held roles as a Science & Technology Policy Fellow and Program Officer at the US NIH, NIAID, supporting influenza and TB research networks, and advised the WHO’s Global TB Programme. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, an MS in Aerospace Engineering, and a BSc in Chemistry-Physics.
