VALIDATE Workshop: How to Present Online - A Practical Guide

VALIDATE Workshop: How to Present Online

Join us for a 2-hour interactive online workshop designed to help you plan, design and deliver online presentations that are clear, engaging and confident, whether you’re presenting to scientific colleagues or external audiences.

What we’ll cover

  • Developing your story and planning your presentation: A great presentation starts with a clear story that is tailored to the audience and logically structured to maintain their attention and fit the time available. We’ll discuss narrative structure and messaging, and how to decide what to keep in and leave out.
  • Creating engaging and accessible slides: We’ll show you how to design slides that support what you’re saying rather than competing with it, and provide practical tips for accessibility, clarity and readability.
  • Adapting your presentation for different audiences: Advice on how to adjust your story and content for different audiences.
  • Practical tips for professional online delivery: We’ll cover the physical, psychological and technical aspects of presenting online, including tips on delivering with confidence and optimising your technical set-up.
