BSI Conference Travel Grants

The BSI Conference Travel Grants provide financial support to BSI members for attending scientific conferences and seminars in the UK and internationally. Applications are accepted online and are reviewed quarterly, with deadlines on February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. Applicants should apply at least five to six weeks before their conference, and travel must be completed within a year of the award.

Grant amounts vary based on travel location: up to £500 for UK travel, £700 for European travel, and £1,000 for other international travel. Rates for overseas applicants are adjusted based on their residence.

Eligibility criteria include: being a current BSI member for at least one year, not having received this grant in the last 12 months, and using the grant exclusively for conference or seminar attendance. Retrospective applications are not accepted, and different grants are available for lab visits or skills-based training.
