Early Career Researchers strengthen their grant-writing skills

On 22 June, VALIDATE’s 2026 Annual Meeting programme began with a dedicated training day for Early Career Researchers, led by Samantha Vermaak and Dr María Adelaida Gómez.

The interactive workshop focused on grant writing, helping participants identify suitable funding opportunities, understand funder expectations and turn research ideas into competitive proposals. Sessions covered writing aims and project descriptions, developing objectives and logic models, and preparing realistic timelines and budgets.

By the end of the day, participants had gained practical tools and insights to support their future funding applications.
