The VALIDATE Network aims to accelerate vaccine research and development for complex intracellular pathogens that cause diseases significant to low and middle-income countries (LMIC), with a focus on Mycobacteria, Leishmania spp, and Burkholderia pseudomallei . VALIDATE also aims to facilitate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and career progression amongst its members.

 

To support these aims, VALIDATE ran a funding call in March 2023 to support LMIC members (Associates and early-PI Investigators) for publishing costs for publishing original peer-reviewed articles, particularly for making the publication open-access as this has two main benefits:

  1. Increased visibility and citations of the article and its authors
  2. Access to the article for all VALIDATE members, disseminating information and widening access to VALIDATE-relevant research

 

 

Call Round #1 - deadline 31 March 2023

Costs for publication had to be incurred before 31 March 2023, when this fund closed. Application was by rolling review by the VALIDATE Management Team, of application documents (below) submitted to VALIDATE@ndm.ox.ac.uk.
