The inaugural ASI Advanced Immunology School will be held from 22-25 July 2019 at Iluka Retreat, Rawson, Victoria. The theme for the 2019 AIS will be ‘Immune Life’.
The ASI-AIS aims to provide training in advanced and cutting edge basic and clinical immunological research for early career researchers with a sound background knowledge in the principles of immunology in a friendly scientific environment.
The 3-day program will consist of presentations by expert scientists and round-table discussions to give in-depth understanding of recent advances and emerging themes in immunology, workshops on immunological technologies and sessions to enhance professional skills including scientific writing and reviewing. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their own research.

- Immune challenges of the aging
- Thymic development
- Unconventional T cells
- B cells, differentiation, affinity maturation
- Clonal expansion of lymphocytes
- Immune response to viruses
- DCs and immune activation
- Primary Immunodeficiencies
- Memory T cells and Trm
