Barclay-Williams Professorship of Molecular Immunology
Employer: Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, UK
The Dunn School of Pathology has an outstanding track record in biomedical research, and a particular focus on the fundamental cell and molecular biology underlying a broad range of disease mechanisms. The Professor will be a senior member of the department and will have the opportunity to help shape and develop its historic strengths in molecular immunology. More broadly, Oxford has widespread excellence in immunology, and the professor will be encouraged to participate in discussions about further integration.
The successful candidate will have shown the capacity to make a distinguished contribution to the study of any area of molecular immunology, interpreted broadly, although preference will be given to candidates whose research complements existing strengths at the Dunn School. They will have an excellent record of publication, as well as a commitment to training, mentoring and capacity building.
Reflecting the strong commitment to immunology at the Dunn School, this post is being advertised simultaneously with an Associate Professor position in immunology, to be held in association with a Tutorial Fellowship at Oriel College.
