Salary range for Senior Lecturer: £62,858 – £65,620 per annum
Minimum salary for Reader: £68,000 per annum
Minimum salary for Chair: £78,000 per annum
Imperial College are seeking to make up to 5 appointments to the position of Chair, Reader, Senior Lecturer and lecturer (non-clinical). The level of the appointment will depend on qualifications and experience.

Imperial College are interested to hear from outstanding academics in the area of infectious disease epidemiology to join the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London. They are particularly looking to build capacity in the priority research areas of outbreak analysis and modelling, vaccines research and antimicrobial resistance as well as in the disciplinary areas of genetics, evolutionary research, statistics and health economics.
As an exceptional academic with expertise in infectious disease epidemiology, you will have the vision and drive to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence; a national, and developing an international reputation, (for Chair candidates, a strong and established international reputation) and a well-attested record of excellent research in the field. You will have a proven track record of grant awards and publications in the following priority areas:
- Outbreak Analysis and Modelling
- Global Health Analytics
- Vaccines research
- Antimicrobial Resistance
- Methods and Tools
You will be based at the St Mary’s campus, Paddington, as part of the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis (formerly the MRC Centre for Outbreak Analysis & Modelling) hosted by the School. You will be expected to develop world-leading research programmes in your area of expertise.
To excel in this role, you must have a higher degree in a relevant research area (MD, MS, PhD or equivalent); experience of training undergraduate and postgraduate students; experience of supervision of higher degrees (PhD, MD(Res)) and junior academic and research staff. Evidence of management and administration experience would be desirable.
