The "Patient Immunomonitoring II – A Deep Dive in Lab Procedures" course is an intensive, three-week, face-to-face program held in Antwerp, Belgium, from March 31 to April 18, 2025. Offering 6 ECTS credits, this course is conducted in English and serves as an extension of the Patient Immunomonitoring I (PIM1) online course. It aims to enhance the practical skills of clinical immunologists by providing hands-on training in various immunomonitoring techniques, focusing on troubleshooting and optimizing laboratory procedures. Participants will engage in practical sessions at the Clinical Immunology Unit lab at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, applying a flipped-learning approach. The course includes lab work, group assignments, and the development of personalized lab analytical plans. It is designed for clinical immunologists with a Master's degree in biomedical or clinical sciences who have completed PIM1 or possess equivalent knowledge. Upon completion, participants will be equipped to conduct immunomonitoring assays, identify pitfalls in laboratory SOPs, and design effective immunomonitoring studies tailored to their research settings.
