Programme Coordinator (TB Modelling Group)

We are looking for a full-time Programme Coordinator for the TB Modelling Group who will be based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s main building on Keppel Street in London.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing efficient administrative, logistical and financial support from set up to closure; a portfolio of research projects which may have multiple overseas collaborators or complex funder requirements. The post-holder will develop a good understanding of the funder terms and conditions for the project(s) providing sound advice and ensuring compliance to these and the school policies and procedures, including the Financial Regulations. The post-holder will be a member of the TB Modelling Group.
The ideal candidate must have substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education (or similar environment) and research projects, and working closely with academic staff members. The successful candidate will also have excellent relevant IT skills (e.g. MS Word and Excel) and willingness to learn new software packages, and proven ability to monitor a budget and prepare accurate costings, projections and reports. Working knowledge of funder terms and conditions (e.g. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID) and Full Economic Costing (FEC) methodology would be an advantage.
The post is based in the Keppel Street building of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. It is available on a full-time basis commencing as soon as possible up to 30th November 2018, with a likelihood of extension dependent on funding. The appointment will be made on the Grade 5 PSP scale with salary in the range £33,567 - £38,533. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the USS Pension Scheme is available.
