The Infectious Disease Vaccines Team at BioNTech is looking for a creative, out-of-the box thinking scientist with expertise in (myco)bacteria to work on the development of high class vaccines approaches.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Developing, planning and performing in vitro analysis including RNA transfection of primary PBMCs or stable cell lines, followed by analysis methods of protein detection such as Western Blot, Flow cytometry and ELISA
- Planning, analysis, and interpretation of in vivo immunogenicity studies with a focus on the design, ex vivo data acquisition and interpretation
- Assay development and optimization, including collaborating with academic and commercial partners to acquire the best testing materials and methods
- Presentation of results and working in close contact with an international team and external partners
What you have to offer.
- Successfully completed PhD with focus on tuberculosis and immunology as well as relevant professional experience
- Sound knowledge and experience in the field of infectious diseases
- Ideally experience in infectious immunology and practical experience in carrying out experimental animal research
- Organizational talent with independent, solution-oriented working methods and high social competence as well as distinct ability to work in a team
- Fluent in written and spoken English, German skills are also desirable but not essential
