The Oxford Vaccine Group is based within the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford and carries out research of major national and international importance in the fields of infectious diseases, immunology and vaccines. This is an exciting opportunity for a programme manager to join the team and take part in the wide range of ongoing paediatric and adult research activity primarily based in the UK. Current research projects focus on a range of topics including, COVID-19, paratyphoid and typhoid fever, meningitis, pertussis, streptococcus pneumoniae, tuberculosis, RSV, haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), pain and the use of topical anaesthetic creams in paediatric research.
Reporting to Emma Plested, you will have operational oversight and coordinate project activities across multiple studies within the UK and/or overseas portfolio. This is a high-profile role that will be critical to the successful delivery of exciting projects with significant international importance.
This post is to cover the absence of the substantive postholder, who is taking a period of maternity leave. The post is available until 31 October 2023 or the actual return of the substantive postholder, or the resignation of the substantive postholder and employment of a new postholder, whichever is the earliest.
