- BBSRC Partner with Indian bioscience laboratories - Apply for funding to develop links with laboratories in India. This is part of the wider International Partnering Awards programme – 11 November 2021
- UK-US research: ecology and evolution of infectious diseases 2021- The funders wish to encourage high quality, innovative research on the ecological, evolutionary, and social drivers that influence the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases – deadline 24 November 2021
- 20ALERT: Mid-range equipment funding - The minimum value is £200,000 (inc. VAT) at 100% full economic costing over 12 months. The call budget is approximately £10 million – deadline 26 November 2021
- Daphne Jackson Fellowships, 2021 - These fellowships are for those looking to return to a research career after a break of two or more years for family, health or caring reasons – deadline 14 December 2021

OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Science celebrated the approval of a preclinical vaccine research for visceral leishmaniasis, we shared details of a live vaccine that protects hamsters from lethal leishmaniasis infection, and the worrying rise of Leishmaniasis cases in the US.
