Weekly round-up #261

Ebook - Vaccines for Neglected Pathogens: Strategies, Achievements and Challenges
We are excited to announce the publication of the book, "Vaccines for Neglected Pathogens: Strategies, Achievements and Challenges," an open-access e-publication which focuses on VALIDATE's focus Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) of Leprosy, Leishmaniasis, Melioidosis and Tuberculosis. This publication, which is edited by VALIDATE Network Investigator Prof Myron Christodoulides and mostly written by VALIDATE members, provides a comprehensive overview of the successes and remaining challenges in vaccine development for these diseases, which continue to be a significant burden for millions of people worldwide.
The book delves into different vaccine strategies, providing biotechnological background information and tackling animal models in NTD therapeutics research. By bringing together state-of-the-art expert knowledge, the publication contributes to the aim of ultimately ending the epidemics of neglected tropical diseases.
The book will be of great interest and relevance to VALIDATE members and other researchers and clinicians working on vaccines for NTDs. We encourage our members to read and share this valuable resource, which highlights the critical work being done by the VALIDATE Network and its members.
