Biography:

I have a strong background in molecular biology and microbiology and endeavour to do research that improves the health of animals, humans and our shared environment. To this end my research has centred around the detection and epidemiology of microbial pathogens. Currently I am focusing on Mycobacteria including Mycobacterium bovis which causes disease in animals but can also be zoonotic.
