Weekly round-up #50
50 weekly round-ups later and the VALIDATE Network is still expanding and helping to build connections around the world between researchers who are pushing boundaries in an effort to develop effective vaccines for TB, leishmaniasis, leprosy and melioidosis. We now have 192 members from 97 organisations across 26 countries. We're an open and inclusive network, so do mention VALIDATE to your colleagues, collaborators, industry partners and research staff and encourage them to join. The benefits of VALIDATE membership can be found here.
This week saw VALIDATE Director Prof Helen McShane taking part in a panel discussion on the topic of "What does the TB vaccine field do now?" at the TBScience 2018 pre-conference being held in parallel to the 49th Union World Conference on Lung Health in The Hague from the 23rd to the 27th October 2018. We hope that some of our members made it to the event and joined in the discussion.
The final plans are coming together for the VALIDATE 2nd Annual Meeting on 6-7 November, and our Early Career Researchers Workshop on the 5th, both in York UK. You can find the latest information here. We look forward to catching up with many of our members at the meeting.
There is now less than 1 week to go until our current VALIDATE Training Grant call closes, so get your application in asap!
