Biography:

Ahlisha Chetty holds an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape and an Honours degree in Infectious Diseases and Immunology from the University of Cape Town.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Science and Immunology at the South African Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative (SATVI), where her research focuses on blood transcriptomics in combination with antigen-specific T-cell activation for elucidating the spectrum of tuberculosis. Her work aims to offer insight into differences in immune responses among individuals with persistent Mtb infection versus those that have cleared infection.
