I’ve been working with TB, BCG and new vaccine candidates since I was an undergrad student. During my master’s degree, I worked with protein candidates using in vitro and in vivo models. Now, as a PhD student, I’m aiming to better comprehend the impact of genome heterogeneity in BCG’s capacity to protect against TB, and how attenuation might have a role in its composition and variable efficacy.
