Biography:
Amare Demsie Ayele: Is an experienced Assistant Professor, qualified with two masters’ degrees [Pediatrics & Child Health, and Public Health Nutrition] having a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and healthcare industry. He has skills in childhood growth & development monitoring, pediatrics nutrition assessment, early childhood education (ECE), childhood nutrition & health (CNH), data analyses, lecturing/teaching, training provision, healthcare research and project management. He has over 13 years of experience in the clinical, academia, healthcare research and community service. His research interests are: CNH, ECD, and ECE. He has 18 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a lifetime member of Ethiopian Red Cross Society, and Ethiopian Nursing Association. He is the reviewer of Italian Journal of Pediatrics, BMC Nutrition and PLOS ONE. He is passionate about improving the policies and programs of CNH, ECD, and ECE in Ethiopia and Africa.
My main research interests are: child health and nutrition, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, tropical diseases (tuberculosis..), and childhood immunization.
