Biography:
I hold an MSc in biology from Humboldt-University in Berlin and a PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of Melbourne. I performed postdoctoral training at the Max-Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Germany as an NHMRC CJ Martin Research Fellow and am now leading the TB Immunology Group at AITHM in Cairns, Australia as an NHMRC Investigator.
My research interests include microbiology, immunology and vaccine development with particular focus on the intracellular pathogenic microbes Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Salmonella enterica and Toxoplasma gondii.
