Biography:

I am an assistant researcher of National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), working at the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Molecular Biology (IABIMO), in Argentina.

During my PhD and postdoctoral research, I worked on Tuberculosis Research. Specifically, I focused on developing attenuated strains of Mycobacterium bovis by targeting virulence genes with the aim of generating potential vaccine candidates against bovine tuberculosis. Also, I am deeply interested in the function of virulence-associated genes to improve understanding of host-pathogen interaction. In addition, I study the physiology of Mycobacterium bovis, exploring relevant genes and their metabolic regulation mechanisms that contribute to bacterial survival under stress conditions.
