My research journey began in Cape Town, South Africa, where I worked on anti-tuberculous drug development, deepening my fascination with these resilient bacteria. Now, as part of Dr. Rachel Tanner’s group, I study how environmental factors shape the survival and immunogenicity of non-tuberculous mycobacteria. Our lab takes a One Health approach to TB prevention, investigating how mycobacteria influence immune responses across humans, cattle, and badgers. By integrating environmental microbiology with immunology, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of mycobacterial infections and potential intervention strategies.   Related Websites: University of Oxford LinkedIn   |
