I am a graduate with Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Microbiology from Moi University Kenya, masters’ degree in Public Health (Epidemiology and Population health) from Maseno University and PhD in Medical Microbiology (Maseno University, Kenya). I have more than 10 years’ experience in epidemiological and clinical laboratory research within the Kenya Medical Research Institute and currently a principal investigator in a number of research projects.

My current research interests include Mycobacterium tuberculosis drug resistance molecular surveillance; validation of new diagnostic assays for detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis such as WGS; Molecular Antimicrobial resistance surveillance for pathogens causing neonatal sepsis.
