Biography:

I am a clinical microbiologist with interests in tuberculosis, candidiasis and invasive fungal infections and hospital infection control.
 
After completing formal training in India and the UK, I have been involved in teaching, diagnostics and research in India for over a decade. I also chair the Hospital Infection Control Committee, one of the first to be set up in the country. I am part of the Technical Expert Group on diagnosis of Tuberculosis for India since 2018 and in this role, provide technical guidelines for diagnosis and management of all forms of tuberculosis for the country.
