Paul Ogongo

I am interested in the role of human T cells in the control of tuberculosis disease with respect to antigen specific responses as well as compartmentalization of T cells between lung and systemic circulation. The focus of my research is to identify T cell characteristics with ability to home to the lung, and, that would engender appropriate responses at the site of disease. Additionally, I am also focusing on identifying other immunogenic TB antigens that have potential as vaccine candidates.
