Biography: My research interests are Molecular biology and Microbiology, focusing on viruses and bacteria that cause human diseases. Currently, I am a team member of melioidosis research group at the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology (IMBT), Vietnam National University. Our lab’s direction of research was to: • Investigating the ecology and distribution of the causative agents, such as B. pseudomallei, in natural environments in Vietnam • Conducting epidemiological research and creating epidemiological maps for diseases like melioidosis (also known as Whitmore's disease) in Vietnam • Researching the immune interactions between Burkholderia spp. bacteria and the protective response mechanisms of the host • Investigating biomarkers (phenotypic traits, gene types, and protein spectra) for application in the development of rapid diagnostic techniques for infectious disease agents in Vietnam
