Biography:

Currently, in my role as a Research Associate, I am working on a project which aims to develop a robust 'test of cure' diagnostic tool for Visceral leishmaniasis/ Post kala azar dermal leishmaniasis. With over 7 years of research experience in the field of immunology and infectious diseases, my doctoral thesis involved a detailed comparative analysis of the immunopathology of the two clinical forms of Post kala azar dermal leishmaniasis, a debilitating skin neglected tropical disease (NTD). The work was mainly based on clinical samples and accordingly, I have extensive experience of handling and processing biological samples including blood, tissue biopsy, etc.
