Biography:
My current research focus is elucidating the immunological mechanisms by which therapeutic nucleic acid vaccines can target Mtb persisters and understanding in-depth the host pathways driving enhanced TB control. My ultimate goal is to dissect the complicated, multifaceted immune response to TB, offering alternative options to conventional TB treatment when adverse drug reactions, recurrence, or treatment failure complicate clinical management, especially in high-risk populations, including people living with HIV/AIDS who are at higher risk for adverse TB treatment outcomes.
