Biography:

I am a biomedical scientist and public health expert specializing in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), with expertise spanning molecular biology, structural biology, functional genomics, transcriptomics, bioinformatics, and applied computational biology in Leprosy and other skin NTDs.

I currently work as an Assistant Research Professor and Co-investigator in the Department of Medicine at the University of Cambridge, UK, where I lead multidisciplinary, international research initiatives in structure-guided drug discovery, advanced molecular diagnostics, and antimicrobial resistance surveillance in infectious diseases. My work is driven by a strong commitment to translating cutting-edge scientific discoveries into impactful healthcare solutions. I actively contribute to global health policy as a member of key advisory bodies, including the WHO Diagnostic Technical Advisory Group (DTAG), the Global Partnership for Zero Leprosy (GPZL), the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations (ILEP), and the International Leprosy Association (ILA). Honored with several prestigious awards, I remain dedicated to advancing innovative strategies that reduce the global burden of leprosy and other skin NTDs and improve public health outcomes worldwide.
