Biography:

Dr. Tukur Ismail is a highly accomplished public health specialist with a keen interest in health research, specifically in TB, and leadership. Currently, he serves as the Senior Lecturer and Head of the Public Health Department at Zamfara State University Talata Mafara, Nigeria.

Dr. Ismail has an extensive background in public health policy and leadership, having previously worked as the Executive Secretary of Primary Health Care at the Zamfara State Primary Healthcare Board. He is also a part-time lecturer and researcher in the Department of Public Health at the National Open University Zamfara State Study Centre. Dr. Ismail is a supervisory authority for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Dr. Ismail has a robust educational background, having obtained his MBBS degree at Usman Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUS), followed by a master's in public health and his Doctor of public health (Dr.PH) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Additionally, he is a Fellow in the International Program in Public Health Leadership at the Evans School of Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. Dr. Ismail has published articles in reputable international scientific journals and peer-reviewed journals and has presented at several international conferences. He is a member of several professional bodies. Given his extensive experience and impressive educational background, Dr. Ismail is highly regarded as an expert in the field of public health policy and leadership.
