Weekly Round-up #148
Weekly Round-up #148 will be the last of 2020 as Team VALIDATE will be on leave for the next couple of weeks over the UK Christmas break. We wish those who celebrate the season a Merry Christmas and everyone a happy New Year, and we look forward to getting back in touch for what will be a busy 2021. VALIDATE will be back in action on the 4th January.

You can watch last week's brilliant VALIDATE For Schools session by Prof Helen McShane and Dr Rachel Tanner, as well as Dr Julen Tomás-Cortázar's videos about T-cell immunity which he recorded in English, Spanish and Basque. These are all videos aimed at the public so please feel free to share them.
You can find all three VALIDATE Winter Seminars, which are open-access and so can be shared with researchers who might be interested:

Highlights on Twitter this week:
It has been a busy seven days on Twitter where we continued with VALIDATE's #OutreachWeek. After retweeting Dr Julen Tomás Cortazar’s T-cell videos last week, we followed up with tweets in Spanish and Basque. VALIDATE Fellow Dr Rachel Tanner mentioned how much she enjoyed speaking at VALIDATE for Schools and member Dr Sasha Larsen Akins tweeted her approval. Our Director, Prof Helen McShane, was interviewed on Sky News about the COVID vaccine and we shared Prof Tom Solomon’s contribution to the Outreach guide and his Running Mad Professor Video. The Vaccine Confidence Project launched their “Value of Vaccines Campaign”, and we shared a Daily Maverick Spotlight on subclinical TB and the Stop TB Partnership video interview with TB Survivor Kate O’Brien.
