World NTD Day and World Leprosy Day 2022 – This Sunday, 30 January 2022

 

VALIDATE is a partner of World NTD Day, a global movement to end Neglected Tropical Diseases. This year, World NTD day and World Leprosy day coincide so, with our work on developing vaccines for the NTDs leishmaniasis and leprosy, VALIDATE will be marking the day with a series of infographics on Twitter.

Prof Rajko Reljic will provide attendees with a perspective on how to identify the most appropriate funding opportunities and write successful proposals to support their research. We congratulated our new Fellows, NRF South Africa announced the recipients SOSAL Scholarships, and TB News Daily shared a visual summary of HIV, TB and Malaria inequality. The Immunology Podcast talked to Fiona Smaill about aerosol TB vaccines, The Dopasi Foundation talked about the first TB vaccine for adults, Richard Hyderman talked about the importance of vaccines in light of antibiotic resistance, and the BSI shared their Immunology Education Database.
