Working in science, particularly in academia and industry, can be stressful so we want to flag that this week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and to highlight the many support systems that are in place. If you are struggling, do not hesitate to ask people for help - it's okay not to be okay!

  • GCRF Global Research Translation Awards - Open to researchers whose institute has received GCRF funding previously (including a VALIDATE pump-priming grant / fellowship) - closes 11 Jul 2019
  • Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds PhD Fellowships - For junior scientists who wish to pursue a PhD project - deadlines of application 1 Feb, 1 Jun and 1 Oct of each year 
  • EMBO Short-Term Fellowships - For research exchanges of up to three months between laboratories in eligible countries - No deadline, recommended to apply 3 months before proposed start date
