"A Vaccine for..?" Seminar Series: Watch now!
Last week VALIDATE hosted the final of our "A Vaccine for...?" seminars. We are now excited to let you know that you can watch the seminars, in full, on YouTube.
In “A Vaccine for Leishmaniasis?”, Prof Mitali Chatterjee and Dr Mohamed Osman provided an overview of the current state of research into vaccines for a disease that causes up to 40,000 deaths annually.

In “A Vaccine for Leprosy?”, Dr Khushboo Borah Slater and Dr Chyntia Díaz Acosta discussed the prospects for a vaccine against leprosy, a disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae for which more than 200,000 new cases were still diagnosed each year.

One of the core aims of VALIDATE is to support its members in career progression. To this end, VALIDATE will host an ECR Summer Showcase series of seminars in June and July 2022. VALIDATE Associates will give a 15-minute presentation about their research followed by a Q&A. We hope this will be an excellent opportunity for the presenters to showcase their science to their fellow members worldwide and perhaps even inspire new collaborations.
