Weekly Round-up #134

In VALIDATE's Weekly Round up Number 134 we launch Collaboration Week and you will find the usual updates, events, and opportunities for our members.

Collaboration Week: From 12-16 October, VALIDATE will be holding “Collaboration Week”, 5 days of activities aimed at providing VALIDATE members with advice from experts on the best ways to develop successful research partnerships, and promoting the formation of new collaborations across the VALIDATE Network. We hope this event will be really useful to you, our members, in connecting with other researchers across the Network.

Get Involved in Collaboration Week:

  • Sign up for our (online) Collaboration WorkshopOn 13 October Prof Susanna Dunachie (University of Oxford) will be using her personal experience to talk about building successful collaborations, after which you will join fellow VALIDATE members in virtual break-out rooms to discuss how you might be able to work together in new research partnerships.
  • Take part in VALIDating: VALIDating is a fun service to help members form research collaborations across institutions, research focus, and continent - a bit like a dating site but rather than finding your soulmate you may find your next research partner. You can set up your profile, listing what you're looking for in a collaboration, by completing the VALIDating Profile Form - and during Collaboration Week you can look through the profiles to find your next ideal research partner.

Get in touch and let us know about any collaboration success stories you'd like to share or if you have any ideas for Collaboration Week - validate@ndm.ox.ac.uk.
