Funding
These 4-year PhD Programme in Epidemiology, Evolution and Control of Infectious Diseases studentships provide generous support, including a tax-free stipend to cover living expenses currently £17,009 in the first year (UKRI rates), rising to £18,000 for the next 3 years.
In 2020/21, four studentships will be made available by the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis (MRC GIDA). Tuition fees at the rate applicable to Home (EU) students are provided. Suitably qualified non-EU students are welcome to apply and we particularly welcome applications from low and middle-income countries (LMIC). Non-EU students will be liable for paying the difference between the home and overseas fee rates. Up to one non-EU studentship could be made available to an exceptional candidate from a LMIC.
