East greets west is the motto of 7th EVIW. Our meeting was originally planned to take place in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia – a city spreading on many hills, above a magnificent place where the river Sava merges with the Danube, a city that has always been a tempestuous limes between mighty kingdoms, a crossroad between different cultures. Now that the conference is free of physical barriers in the virtual world, the motto is even more pertinent. With online participation, we expect between 200-600 attendees from all over the world to join us, and create a vibrant conference where the exchange of ideas will lead to new collaborations and projects. We would like our conference to also bridge the generation gap as we will encourage an active participation of young scientists.
The COVID-19 pandemic emphasizes that research in immunology represents an essential pillar for common health and welfare. This is also our motivation to make 7th EVIW a productive meeting focused on knowledge dissemination and organization of optimal professional service. The program of 7th EVIW will be published shortly. Invited talks and short presentation topics cover:
- One Health approach to pandemic preparedness
- Adaptive immunology
