Academy of Medical Sciences: Global Challenges Research Fund Networking Grants, Sep 2017
Closing date: 6 Sep 2017 17:00 GMT
The Academy of Medical Sciences is providing up to £25,000 to support international networking events aimed at addressing global challenges and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers in developing countries and researchers in the UK.
These awards will provide opportunities for researchers, drawn from a wide spectrum of disciplines and backgrounds, to develop new collaborations, improve interaction between UK researchers and those in developing countries, and build communities of researchers that can submit high quality applications for other GCRF funding calls. Projects must start between 1st January 2018 and 31st March 2018, and the funding will last for one year.
Applications should focus on building a collaborative network and therefore should be submitted jointly by a lead overseas researcher from a developing country (must be DAC-listed) and a lead researcher based in the UK.
