The School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Bristol seeks to further strengthen its internationally competitive research base in infection and immunity by making an appointment in immunology at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader level.
We encourage scientifically outstanding applicants that complement and enhance current School activities in Immunology (autoimmunity, inflammation, molecular immunology, tumour immunology, host pathogen interactions). The position will be based in the Biomedical Sciences Building with access to outstanding core facilities (including Proteomics, Imaging, Genomics, and Flow Cytometry). The School also has a proven track record for translational work (five world-leading 4* “Impact Cases” in the REF2014).
The successful candidate will bring creative high impact research programmes to undertake internationally competitive research supported by external funding. They will also contribute to the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate students within the School and across the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences. With over 30 research groups in the School working in cancer biology, infection and immunity and stem cell biology, and close interactions with other Schools within the University, there are extensive opportunities for collaboration within a world-class environment.
