An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trials Resources Manager to join the Jenner Institute, which is part of the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) conducts trials to evaluate the safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of a broad range of candidate vaccines in healthy volunteers. These vaccines are against infectious diseases that cause significant death and disability worldwide, including malaria, tuberculosis (TB), Ebola, influenza, hepatitis, HIV, Zika, chikungunya, MERS, rabies and, more recently, COVID-19. Clinical trials of these new candidate vaccines take place at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine (CCVTM) on the Churchill Hospital campus in Oxford where the position will be based, some remote work may be possible at least in the first instance.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining up to date detailed records of staffing funds and central support funds available within the large and complex grant portfolio for clinical trials. Ensure central costs are reviewed regularly and are included in new grant applications, providing expert advice on costings and budget setting. Complete quarterly publication reports by working with the group’s researchers. You will also support wider operational functions, review current systems and procedures and put forward recommendations for improvements and new methods of working via your line manager. Line manage administrative staff as required.
