ESCMID offers grants of up to €30,000 for research projects, covering both the project costs and potential overhead charges. The ESCMID Förderverein supports grants in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and emerging infections, with an additional two study group research grants awarded annually. Projects must involve collaborative research between at least two institutions in different countries, lasting a maximum of two years. Eligible applicants must be ESCMID members and have the support of the involved study groups. The application process requires submission of various documents in electronic format, including a project description, budget, CV, and support letter. Proposals are evaluated based on scientific excellence, methodology, implementation, budgeting, parity issues, and comparison with other submissions. A report or peer-reviewed publication is required upon project completion. Further information and templates will be provided to successful awardees.
