The candidate should have a PhD in the area of Global Health related to health systems/health policy/public health/social science, or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications. A Master's degree in Health Policy, Global Health, Public Health or Social Science. A teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certiificate of learning and teaching in HE, or the Arena qualification Higher Education Academy.
Experience in teaching and research. It is expected that the applicant should have a good track record of teaching in global health, public health, health systems and/or health policy and social sciences as they relate to health. They will be able to demonstrate consistently high levels of student satisfaction with their teaching.
In addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills they will have enthusiasm for the teaching of global health. The highest ethical and professional standards in research and education and a flexible attitude to collegiate working.
