MRC New Unit Funding Opportunity

Apply for MRC new unit funding to tackle complex and interdisciplinary health challenges.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for MRC funding.

Units will be funded for up to 14 years. Your unit award will initially last for 7 years, with a further 7 years based on a review in year 6.

The full economic cost of your unit can be around £25,000,000 for the first 7 years. MRC will typically fund 80% of the full economic cost.

This will be an annual opportunity with identified themes.

We expect to make up to 2 of these awards each year.
