NAM-HKU Fellowship in Global Health Leadership, 2018

Thanks to the generous donation from Dr Patrick Poon, the University of Hong Kong and the U.S. National Academy of Medicine have established the NAM-HKU Fellowship in Global Health Leadership which aims to provide a two-year training for early to mid-career scholars to learn and work at HKU School of Public Health and the U.S. National Academy of Medicine in areas under the umbrella of global health leadership. The fellowship programme will commence in 2019 and run for three years initially, with one Fellow to be selected each year.
The two-year Fellowship shall include:
scholarship to undertake the Master of Public Health programme, on either part-time or full-time basis, at The University of Hong Kong, Asia’s Global University and the oldest university in Hong Kong
a three-month stay at the U.S.National Academy of Medicine (NAM), Washington,D.C, each year for two consecutive years, during which time the Fellow will actively learn about the work of an appropriate Board/Expert Committee/Roundtable, and be assigned a faculty mentor who is a member of NAM
roundtrip airfare and accommodation for the two three-month stays at NAM
attachment at HKU School of Public Health, which has an internationally recognized track record of innovative and ground breaking research in public health, and a leader in postgraduate and professional education and training in public health in Asia
