The Babraham Institute is embarking on a significant new recruitment programme which provides exciting opportunities for both established and junior Principal Investigators to join us in Cambridge. The Institute carries out internationally leading science in immunology, epigenetics and signalling with relevance to human health and ageing. We are working towards an Institute-wide science strategy to link signalling and epigenetic processes with gene regulation in immunity, development and other important biological processes.
 
We plan to make four Principal Investigator appointments of which at least two will be internationally established scientists. Our intention is also to include appointments of junior or tenure track Principal Investigators. The science areas that we are particularly interested in include, but are not limited to, human and mouse immunology, mechanistic molecular cell biology, metabolism-based gene regulation, signal-responsive changes in post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms (including alternative splicing and polyadenylation), and epigenetic mechanisms (biochemical, chemical biology, biophysical, single cell analysis, epigenetic editing, epitranscriptome, modelling). We are keen to recruit both experimentalists and computational biologists.
 
We plan to recruit at least two Principal Investigators in each of the Lymphocyte Signalling and Epigenetics Programmes. Cross-programme appointments are also possible depending on the science area. Appointees will be expected to be proactive and progressive supporters of equality and diversity. The appointments will come with a competitive salary and research package, including relocation funds and additional group posts as well as access to cutting-edge core facilities.
