The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI), Germany’s largest research institution focusing on infectious diseases, together with Hannover Medical School (MHH) is inviting applications for a full professorship (W3) position in the field of Infection Biology.

The HZI, member of the Helmholtz Association, conducts translational infection research in the fields of bacterial and viral pathogens, the immune system and novel anti-infectives aiming for implementing new strategies against infectious diseases.

We are looking for an outstanding, international scientist with extensive experience and an excellent track record in particular in the fields of bacterial and viral pathogenesis, antibiotic resistance, host-pathogen-interactions or the microbiota.
