The University of Nottingham seeks applications for an Assistant Professor in Infection Immunology to lead and deliver individual and collaborative research and teaching programmes in the School of Life Sciences, and to contribute to teaching on the undergraduate degrees delivered by the School.
The School of Life Sciences is keen to expand research of immunotherapy against microbial infections. The successful applicant thus should have an established track record in studies of the immune system and the biology and pathogenesis of infectious agents in health and disease. Experience with animal models for infectious diseases is welcome. Applicants should also have evidence of a publication record.
The position will be within the Division of Infections, Immunity and Microbes in the School of Life Sciences. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a programme of research that compliments existing work in the Division and the wider School. In particular, they should be open to collaborations with other members of the School, working in the areas of microbial infections, host pathogen interactions and immune cell signalling.
