Biography:
Dr. Mulualem Tadesse, who is currently working as Associate Professor at Jimma University, has studied his BSc degree at Addis Ababa University and his MSc degree at Jimma University. In June 2018, he has successfully defended his PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. In 2020, Dr. Mulualem has been selected for one-year Clinical Research and Development Fellowship (WHO/TDR) and worked with Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr. Mulualem is active member of research group at the Mycobacteriology Research Center of Jimma University. He has more than ten years of experience related to TB research focusing on TB diagnostic evaluation, validation and optimization and genomics. Dr. Mulualem has published more than 28 articles in peer reviewed international journals. He is also associate professor at Jimma University and effective at teaching and guiding postgraduate and undergraduate students at the level of project development, study design and set up, laboratory experiments, study analyses and writing.
